In most cases, this type of visa is valid for up to 10 years, which makes it possible for the parents or grandparents to revisit Canada again after some time to stay with their family members for up to 2 years. There are some important requirements but the most important is a valid Canadian medical insurance coverage for at least one year amounting to $100,000 CAD at the port of entry.
Apart from the minimum requirements, you need to prove the following:
- A sponsor must meet the minimum necessary income as per the LICO threshold for that year. The MNI calculation also depends on the number of people in the family.
- Child or Grand Child has to also provide the assurety of supporting their parents or grandparents financially for the amount of the period they will stay in Canada.
Visitor Visa for Family
The visa category is for family members and friends. If there is a close friend or family member in Canada then you can apply for Visitor Visa to visit them.
Requirements:
1) A letter of invitation from a family member or friend in Canada.
2) Financial Documents of the applicant and host are mandatory to prove that you and your host can support you financially during your stay in Canada.
Visitor Extension:
Canadian Immigration provides flexibility to extend your Visitor Visa if you have a valid reason.
Business Visitor Visa
If you require to travel to Canada on a business trip, this would be the program for you.
You are a business visitor if you :
- Take part in international business activities without being part of the Canadian labour market
- You are visiting Canada temporarily to look for ways to grow your business, invest or advance your business relationships.
The Business visitors can stay in Canada for up to 6 months maximum.
